MC Hammer would be proud.
After a huddle break chant of "Hammertime" following the first set victory, the ladies put the hurt on Labette Community College on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
The Lady Cavs currently have an 18 set win streak going, six straight matches, to put them at 8-1 for the season.
Birthday girl Taylor Pruitt, sophomore, attributes their current success to court conversations.
"We are definatly working our communication a lot better," she said. "Communication is key."
Jenny Ei, head coach, believes the team's depth is also a big contributor in their success.
"The greatest thing about these kids is you can interchange any of them and they won't miss a beat.," she said.
But both the coaches and players had a new goal coming into this game.
"Our number one goal was to go out and have fun," Ei said.
The Lady Cavs will host the JCCC Challenge Sept. 19-20.
