The Lady Cavs continued their winning ways against Southwestern College and Central Community College on Saturday.
First against Southwestern College they won the first two sets easily, 25-13 and 25-10 before closing it out with a 25-21 win to sweep.
The Central Community College match was almost an exact mirror image of the first match as the Lady Cavs struggled to win the first set 25-22 before blowing them out 25-16 and 25-11 for the sweep.
With the double sweep the Lady Cavs have now won 27 of their last 28 sets, with the only setback being the first set Friday against Lincoln Land Community College, and now sit at 10-1 on the season.
Jenny Ei, head coach, volleyball, said despite their recent run of sucess the Lady Cavs need to cut down on mistakes.
"This weekend we played better competition," she said. "We gotta cut down on our errors, but for the most part we had a pretty nice weekend. Coming this October we're starting to get some more challenging teams again which will be really good to see what we have."
Sydney Pemberton, sophomore middle hitter, said the Lady Cavs have had problems finishing games.
"We let the team's catch up with us," she said. "So we are going to practice applying pressure when they are down in points."
After a long two day stretch with four matches the Lady Cavs take a breather before taking on Allen County in Iola, Kan. on Sept. 24 at 6:30 p.m.
