The Cavalier men's soccer team shut out the Kansas City Kansas Community College Blue Devils 2-0 on Monday night.
The two teams played to a scoreless tie through the first half.
The score remained that way until the 61st minute when Austin Knipp, sophomore midfielder, Basehor, Kan., scored on a nice kick from the right side to the lower left corner of the goal.
Addis Kenea, freshman, Olathe, added an insurance goal in the 87th minute off of a miscommunication from the Blue Devils, which left the middle wide open to the Cavaliers offensive attack.
Fatai Ayoade, head coach, men's soccer said it was good to get the win but the team didn't play well.
"If I were to give them a grade from A to F, I would give them a C minus," he said.
The Cavaliers next head on the road to face Hesston on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m.
